If I Hated Women I Would… women, we’ve been so, so duped!
A Woman is Made to Be A Woman I’ve been mulling this subject (women’s roles, etc) for a while and liked some of what this writer had to say.
A woman is the heart of the home and that is a gift. God gave us the gift of our family and our homes. It is something we should wear with honor, not something we use to shame each other. Our husbands who work and provide for us are gifts. Our children and grandchildren are gifts, and our faith is the greatest gift of all. Taking care of a family is the greatest role we will ever have. If we choose to have a career outside of that then that is icing on the cake, but it’s not the cake.
I’m a Writer - Along the same lines as the above with figuring out who I am as a woman and what I’m called to, I really related to this one not just because of my love of writing but really anything outside of my own motherhood/home life’. We are mothers – but it’s true that is not all we are. I definitely struggle with balancing my time with what I need to do and what I want to do and then with what I am called to do.
Free Cheeses/ Free Jesus. I laughed several times out loud while reading this. I often envision funny comedy skits involving the grocery store samples as well. I like how she ties Jesus into this otherwise very random post. If you want a good laugh (mixed with a little Jesus) this one is for you.
Pope: Jesus is our peace, a peace that is never neutral or compromise at all costs - more food for thought on ‘judgyness’.
A few things I need to remember this school year - though we are not ‘homeschooling’ there are good tips in here for those of us with ‘school’ kids. I might make my own list.
10 Ways Living with a Toddler is Supremely Awesome: I need to post this somewhere where I’ll see it often.
Leading the Blind This is an amazing story of love, no matter what.
On February 18th, 2011, our lives were changed forever when our son Christian Taylor Buchanan entered the world. He was born with a bilateral cleft palate and lip and almost completely blind. This blog is the story of his life, the joys we share, the challenges we encounter, and the amazing and trying journey ahead of our family!
