Need a simple appetizer or side dish for your upcoming Thanksgiving get together?
Try this pumpkin pie dip recipe.
I, of course, altered the recipe a little –
- I only used about 2 TB of white sugar since that’s all I had (it was still good but more sugar would definitely make it even tastier!)
- I was very liberal with the Pumpkin Pie Spice.
- Instead of cool whip, I used about 1 – 1 1/2 cups of liquid whipping cream. I whipped the cream in my kitchen aid mixer until it was nice and thick. Then I added in the other prepared dip ingredients according to the recipe and I whipped it all together again. Hence the Pumpkin Pie Dip Whipped.
You can serve this with sliced granny smith apples for a sweet, yet healthy, treat.
Eat and Enjoy!

Yum! I am curious to try this and see if I like it. Sometimes if I like something a lot in one form (pumpkin pie) and tend to not like it in other forms (dip). But perhaps we shall see!!!
Yeah sometimes it didn’t work well. I don’t think this tasted exactly like pumpkin pie but the whipping cream reminded me enough of it to share the name. I’d definitely recommend adding more sugar. Always more sugar.
